An experienced trekking guide will accompany you, navigating the lesser-known trails and providing deep insights into the local culture, flora, and fauna. The package includes all necessary permits and entry fees, so you can focus solely on enjoying the trek. Meals such as breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided throughout, ensuring you are well-nourished and energized for the journey. For safety, we provide a first aid kit and emergency evacuation arrangements as per the client's insurance or payable by client, along with porters to help carry equipment and personal belongings. The itinerary is customizable to suit individual preferences, offering a flexible and personalized trekking experience through the serene and unspoiled Mardi Himal region.
On arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Kathmandu. After check-in, take time to rest and recover from your journey. Depending on your arrival time, you may explore Thamel, a lively tourist hub filled with cafés, shops, and cultural charm. In the evening, there will be a comprehensive trek briefing covering route details, altitude awareness, safety measures, and equipment checks.
After breakfast, drive to Pokhara via the scenic Prithvi Highway along the Trishuli and Marsyangdi rivers, passing terraced hills, villages, and lush countryside. The journey covers about 200–210 km and takes approximately 6–8 hours, descending to Pokhara’s altitude of 822 m. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and rest. The evening is free for leisure, where you can enjoy a peaceful walk around Phewa Lake or relax in the lakeside area.
After an early breakfast, drive to the trek starting point at Kande or Phedi (approx. 30–45 minutes drive from Pokhara, 25–35 km). From here, begin your trek through scenic trails passing lush forests, terraced farmland, and small traditional settlements, with a gradual ascent into the lower Annapurna foothills. The trekking distance is around 5–8 km, taking approximately 3–5 hours, depending on the route and pace. This short but steady climb helps your body begin acclimatizing while offering peaceful surroundings, fresh mountain air, and beautiful natural landscapes throughout the journey.
Today’s trek from Deurali to Low Camp (2,970 m) takes you deeper into the beautiful Annapurna forests, walking through dense rhododendron and oak woodland along a steadily ascending trail. The trekking distance is approximately 3–5 km, taking around 3–4 hours, with an elevation gain of about 750–800 meters, as the air becomes noticeably cooler with increasing altitude. In spring, the trail is especially vibrant with blooming rhododendrons, while birdlife and occasional glimpses of the Annapurna range add to the natural charm, making this a peaceful and scenic mountain walking experience.
From Low Camp to High Camp (3,580 m), the trail continues a steady ascent as the dense forest slowly gives way to open alpine terrain and sweeping ridgelines. The walk covers roughly 3–4 km in about 3–5 hours, with an elevation gain of around 600–700 meters, passing through Middle Camp en route. As you climb higher, the views expand dramatically, revealing close-up panoramas of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Annapurna South, and Hiunchuli. High Camp is set on a wide ridge, making it one of the most rewarding spots of the trek, especially for its spectacular sunrise and sunset views over the Himalayan range.
Today is the most rewarding day of the trek as you hike from High Camp (3,580 m) to Mardi Himal Base Camp (4,500 m) before returning back to Badal Danda. The early morning trail follows a narrow ridgeline with steep but gradual ascent, covering around 5–6 km round trip in approximately 6–8 hours, with an elevation gain of about 900–1,000 meters. As you reach Mardi Himal Base Camp, you are greeted with breathtaking close-up views of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Mardi Himal, Annapurna South, and Hiunchuli, making it the ultimate highlight of the journey. After spending some time at the base camp, you retrace your steps and descend carefully towards Badal Danda, where you rest for the night amidst peaceful mountain surroundings and panoramic views.
After breakfast, begin your trek from Badal Danda to Siding (1,850 m), descending through scenic trails that gradually transition from alpine ridges into lush green forests, terraced farmlands, and traditional rural villages. The route covers about 6–8 km and takes approximately 4–5 hours, with an elevation loss of around 1,000 meters, offering peaceful surroundings and authentic glimpses of local Himalayan life in the Annapurna region. Upon reaching Siding village, take a short rest before driving back to Pokhara (822 m), which takes around 3–4 hours, passing through beautiful hills, rivers, and countryside landscapes, before arriving in the lakeside city for hotel check-in and relaxation.
After breakfast, drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu (1,400 m) via the scenic Prithvi Highway, enjoying beautiful views of rivers, terraced hills, roadside villages, and countryside landscapes along the way. The journey covers approximately 200–210 km and takes around 6–8 hours, with gradual elevation gain as you return to Kathmandu Valley. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, check in to your hotel and enjoy free time for rest or leisure activities, making it a comfortable and relaxing conclusion to your trip.
At the scheduled time, our team will transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu for your onward flight. As your Mardi Himal Base Camp Trek concludes, you leave with unforgettable memories of the Annapurna region, its majestic peaks, scenic landscapes, and warm hospitality, and we look forward to welcoming you back to Nepal again for your next adventure.
