The trekking is moderate and involves walking through forest trails, hills, and uneven terrain for 4–7 hours per day. A reasonable level of fitness is recommended, but no technical climbing skills are required.
The best seasons for Red Panda tracking are spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) when weather conditions are stable and wildlife activity is higher.
Since Red Pandas are wild and endangered animals, sightings cannot be guaranteed. However, the Dobate region is one of Nepal’s prime habitats, and guided tracking significantly increases the chances.
